One more homework for my composition classes^^
My dog's name is Kuroi (黑), in Japanese it means Black. A few years ago I've read one yaoi manga, main character was a dog, who sometimes became hot bishie. So I decided to give my dog the same name

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI would like to say that this is quite impressive work. Despite being an observational drawing, it clearly captures your own style. The composition is surprisingly effective as your mother and your dog balances each other out. Also notable is that they form a kind of hexagonal shape when seen together as a whole, which makes up stable composition. I know that pen is very difficult medium, but you seem to use it effectively. Most inexperienced artists tend to be a little messy when using pen, but your draftsmanship is amazing.
Ah, but alas, I must point out one thing, for without some negative criticism, this will surely not be constructive at all. Just one criticism on the perspective; at first glance it is hard to distinguish the value between your dog and your mother's clothes, especially on the left side of your dog; consider making your mother's left sleeve a little darker as well as your dog's left front leg to further distinguish the two subjects.
Other then that, it is lovingly crafted artwork with strong style and very well balanced composition.
