It is very hard have a adequate level of originality with portraits as it's all kind of 'been done' so that why I have only given you two on that aspect.
However, I enjoy the other elements, you have greatly captured the subject expression, why he appears so angry I do not know but there is a certain amount of intensity in his face and you have painted it greatly.
The background tones and shading make the whole composition feel more dramatic and surreal, rather than just painting the real background. Whether this is a task sent by you're tutor or a decision made independently it take the piece to a new level.
